Will Israel Drag the United States into War with Iran Before the 2024 Presidential Election?
As no-longer-elected Ukrainian President (dictator) Volodymyr Zelensky, who will remain in office for as long as the Russo-Ukrainian War continues, attempts to keep the United States and its European allies engaged in supplying weapons and funding by stating that North Korean troops are being deployed to his country to assist Russian forces (despite denials by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin); Israel’s multiple aggressive actions in the Middle East persist. Newly-leaked top-secret American government documents may implicate the Joe Biden administration in collaboration with the Israeli government in its upcoming offensive operation against Iran, and in the meantime, the Benjamin Netanyahu regime continues to hammer the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Ahead of the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) bombardment of Beirut, Lebanon (the capital), hundreds of citizens were forced to flee sections of the city (and ten other areas throughout Lebanon) in order to avoid being killed in the operation against Hezbollah. The most recent attacks were against financial targets, but in less than a month (so far), the IDF has bombed over 3,200 sites throughout the country. In the last year alone, Israel has killed 2,483 people in just Lebanon, and thousands more have been injured (not to mention the one million people who have been displaced). Since most Americans cannot easily relate to being victims of active warzones and having their homes destroyed by pointless conflict, we simply just do not care that Israel is killing civilians at a disproportionate rate. With that mentality, combined with pro-war and pro-Israeli propaganda from our politicians and corporate news anchors, we disregard our humanity and encourage the Israeli government to bomb as many of the so-called “terrorists” as possible, regardless of how many innocent lives are lost in the fray. It is a sad state of affairs that our militaristic culture has conditioned us to hate people in the Middle East (not a very Christian-like attitude). Although Hezbollah and Hamas have committed atrocities against Israeli citizens and are surely not blameless in any form, instead of the Biden administration encouraging Israel to engage in aggressive and offensive wars, perhaps it should be seeking peaceful and diplomatic solutions to the conflict.
In addition, Israel has made demands to the United States and said that it will not end its war in Lebanon unless the Biden administration agrees to allow it to continue patrolling the airspace and bombing strategic sites over the entirety of the country, as well as engaging in “active enforcement” to prevent Hezbollah from rearming. On top of Israel’s demands not sounding anything like the end to hostilities, American taxpayers are being forced to fork over their hard-earned money to support these offensive wars. Why would we allow the Netanyahu regime to dictate to us what we allow it to do? If you do not accept our terms, go fight your own wars without us. We have groceries and rent to pay for and do not want to fund unjustified bombardments throughout the Middle East.
As President Biden and Vice President and deep state favorite to win the 2024 presidential election Kamala Harris are ecstatic that the Israeli military eliminated Yahya Sinwar, who was the top leader of Hamas and the acting chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau (the previous chairman, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed in an Israeli assassination operation in Tehran, Iran), the death and destruction of Gaza has not subsided. In fact, in exchange for Hamas killing 1,200 Israelis, the IDF has reciprocated with 42,500 Palestinian deaths (roughly 2,070,000 people have been displaced in Gaza, and this equates to 90% of the entire population being forced to leave their homes). That seems like a fair trade and an extremely proportional response, right? With the leader of Hamas and the Israeli version of Osama bin Laden killed, will Netanyahu stop his reign of terror against one of the most densely-populated areas in the world? Although that was not a joke, it is laughable to think that the Israeli prime minister will soon end the war and allow for peaceful times that may lead to his prosecution for corruption charges (rallying his nation around war is allowing him to escape responsibility).
In a face-saving effort to thrust Kamala Harris into the presidency, President Biden pretended to care about the plight of the Palestinian people by sending a letter (cowritten by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken) suggesting that the United States may be forced to cut off military aid to Israel if it does not allow for humanitarian aid to reach Gaza within one month (this would include 350 aid trucks per day, the opening of a fifth border crossing, and four months of periodic humanitarian pauses in the bombardments). Of course, we know that American politicians are bought and paid for by the Israeli lobby (think AIPAC), so such a letter is just general politicking meant to signal to his progressive base that he is being tough. Nothing will come of it, and as we remember from a few months ago, Biden threatened to halt the shipment of bombs and artillery to Israel if it persisted with its ground invasion of Rafah (the same type of quid pro quo arrangement that Donald Trump was impeached for) and did absolutely nothing when the Israeli military crossed over into that city. The United States will support whatever and any action that the Israeli government takes, regardless of whether it leads to American troops being killed. An official in the Biden administration admitted that Israel is “too close an ally” to interrupt the flow of weapons, even though Israel is actively blocking food and medicine from reaching the people of Gaza.
As a reward for launching assaults in several countries, the Biden administration has sent a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, accompanied by 100 American troops, to Israel for its “protection.” Yes, the United States is clearly a belligerent in the war, and as such, we are now opening ourselves up to being attacked by Israel’s enemies. During Iran’s retaliatory missile barrage (the launching of at least 181 missiles was in response to Israel’s actions), two American Navy destroyers joined Israel’s Iron Dome (for short-range missiles), David’s Sling (for medium-range missiles), and Arrow 2 and 3 interceptors (for long-range missiles) in shooting down the missiles and preventing any real damage to Israeli infrastructure or civilian lives. Still, Israel vows revenge (turning the other cheek is not something that the leadership in the Jewish nation believes in) and will drag the United States into a broader war in the Middle East, if not World War III.
Furthermore, there has now been two leaked or hacked documents from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and National Security Agency (NSA) swirling around (initially on a Telegram channel enjoyed by Iran-backed militiamen) and connecting the Biden administration to the Israeli government’s plans to strike Iran in the near future. The documents were top secret and only to be shared with the intelligence communities in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand (along with the United States, this group makes up the Five Eyes Anglosphere intelligence alliance), and now, the Biden administration is trying to investigate how the leak occurred, thus confirming that the information released is accurate. One such revelation is that Israel will refrain from using nuclear weapons against Iran, indicating that Israel does indeed have nuclear weapons (something that the United States and Israel have been denying and lying about for many years). Of course, Israel is allowed to have nuclear weapons, but Iran is not. The hypocrisy on the part of the United States government never fails to amuse.
Regardless, the Biden administration is fully aware of what Israel intends to do to Iran, and preparation plans were leaked (one was titled “Israel: Air Force Continues Preparations for Strike on Iran and Conducts a Second Large-Force Employment Exercise,” and the other was called “Israel: Defense Forces Continue Key Munitions Preparations and Covert UAV Activity Almost Certainly for a Strike on Iran”). This is not good given that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi suggested that the United States should be held responsible for Israel’s future retaliation since it was aware of the plans beforehand and is greenlighting the operation. In other words, when the hot war between Israel and Iran kicks off, Americans will become targets and marked for death by a powerful military force, and as a result, the Biden administration and the corporate media will rally us around the flag and make us want to kill Iranians and engage in a larger war that is thousands of miles away from Americans’ lives. If Israel attacks Iran before the 2024 presidential election, we may be persuaded that it is better to have Kamala Harris as a continuation of the Biden administration’s handling of foreign policy than it is to bring in Donald Trump, who might end some of these conflicts. Why would we want to change hands in the middle of a brand-new war?
The sad truth is that all of these wars are completely avoidable, and if we the people actually demanded that our government search for diplomatic solutions instead of taking sides in regional conflicts and being bought out by the Israeli lobby, peace could ensue. Unfortunately, war is profitable, and the military-industrial complex would prefer to steal our tax dollars for their own selfish interests. As a result, we will inevitably suffer in the long run when our troops are sent to die on behalf of corrupt politicians in Israel. Never forget that there are always two sides to every story, and if you refuse to learn that with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, you will be stuck in the endless cycle of death and despair. It is ultimately our choice whether we want to continue down the war path toward our destruction. We can refuse to fight our politicians’ wars, but we must take a firm stand.
