The Long-Awaited Israeli War Against Iran Has Finally Come
Just as expected and right before President Donald Trump was able to negotiate another round of nuclear talks with Iran, the Benjamin Netanyahu regime started the long-awaited war to eliminate its Persian enemy (sabotaging any future agreements). Of course, I have been saying for years that Israel was attempting to drag the United States into war with Iran, and now that we are here, things seem to have taken a surprising turn. Although the Trump administration plans to assist Israel, much like a Kamala Harris administration would have, there has been no known active participation by the United States, except for the shooting down of some of the Iranian retaliatory missiles (not much different from the missile exchange that occurred last year). Yes, the United States is a belligerent in this new war, and as such, Iran has warned that it may strike American bases and ships (as well as those of France and the United Kingdom) if aid continues to Israel, but there is no publicly-acknowledged plan for a hot war between the United States and Iran (though it will be a miracle if it remains like that).
While the Iraqi government, which still hosts 2,500 American troops and is also an ally of Iran, has called for de-escalation of the war, Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi-based jihadist group, threatened to attack American bases if the United States gets further involved (this is one of the groups that was responsible for attacks on American troops under the Joe Biden administration). So far, the United States may be taking a measured approach and not actively participating in the offensive operations, but Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claims that he has evidence that the United States helped plan and support Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion,” despite President Trump flat-out saying that the United States had nothing to do with it.
However, it was a little strange that right after the attacks, not only did the president say that Iran would meet the American military “at levels never seen before” if there was any retaliation against United States personnel or bases, but he also praised Netanyahu’s strikes as “a very successful attack” and said, “Iran should have listened to me when I said — you know, I gave them, I don’t know if you know but I gave them a 60-day warning and today is day 61.” It almost seems like the United States was involved in Israel’s act of terror, as President Trump gave a sixty-day window for Iran to become compliant and then allowed Israel to attack after negotiations were unsuccessful. Could the Trump administration be gaslighting the American people by pretending to not be aggressive while covertly participating with Israel to eliminate Iran? It seems very unlikely that President Trump was completely unaware of what Israel was doing, especially considering the sophistication of the American intelligence community and the fact that leading up to the attack the president ordered military and diplomatic personnel to retreat from the region. But, of course, that was just a coincidence, and the president knew nothing.
I was winding down on Thursday night when reports of Israel’s “preemptive” attack on Iran occurred (it was Friday the 13th in the Middle East at that point), and I remember thinking that the moment that I had warned about for years had arrived. Israel had defied the Trump administration, which had on the surface pretended that it was straying away from Netanyahu and warning Israel not to strike, and went rogue to destroy its enemy without the United States’ approval. Of course, that all seems to have been theater, and the Trump administration was always going to support any action that Israel took, regardless of how reckless. The president never really wanted to take a diplomatic approach, despite what he said on the campaign trail, and obliterating Iran seems to have always been the goal. His biggest campaign promise of “no new wars” was just a line to convince naïve anti-war people on the right to get him into office, and it appears that he never had any real intentions of keeping this (look at the lack of negotiations with Russia over Ukraine). It appears that the Trump administration really wanted to eliminate Iran all along, and it helped devise a plan that would use Israel to carry it out and make it look like the United States was not involved.
Israel destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities and key officials (including Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammed Bagheri, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, Chief Major General Hossein Salami, and IRGC Aerospace Forces commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh) shows how much Netanyahu disregards Americans’ lives. He goes on live broadcasts and speaks in English to convince, without evidence, gullible Americans that every one of his actions are necessary to preserve Israel’s existence, even those that are overtly offensive in nature and have not one degree of defensiveness to them. He is willing to risk the lives of American armed forces members, and ultimately American citizens, in order to push his agendas and eliminate his enemy in the Middle East (as I have discussed many times, the Israeli lobby has purchased American politicians, so anything Israel does will be backed without hesitation).
Yet, Americans know very little about this supposed threat to Israel’s existence, and most of what they do know comes from the corporate media spewing out propaganda on behalf of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other government entities to rally Americans around the flag to support a war with Iran. “Iran can never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon,” says almost every American politician and news anchor. “The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) agrees that reaching 60% purity level in enriching uranium is close to the weapons-grade level of 90%,” states such and such news network.
Even if Iran is developing nuclear weapons, as it could very well be (though Israel has been claiming that for several years, and this idea has been a “weapons of mass destruction”-level lie since then), it is arrogant to think that any group of nations can demand that a specific country not develop them when several other governments maintain stockpiles themselves. The United States has a nuclear arsenal not only in North America, but it also keeps weapons in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Belgium. Additionally, France, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, and China also have nuclear arsenals. The United States, which has threatened Iran for several years, has a military presence in almost every country surrounding Iran, and Israel, which just attacked Iran, also has nuclear weapons. With so many nuclear-armed nations on almost all sides of Iran, why would Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei not want to pursue a deterrent to secure his country’s existence (oh, the irony)? If you were an Iranian leader, could you honestly say that you would not do the same to protect your country, especially when you hear Western propaganda say that you are going to destroy Israel if you are allowed to develop them (to be fair, perhaps Iranian leaders should not spew such inflammatory rhetoric)? Yet, there has never been a single piece of evidence brought forth to suggest that Iran was going to use nuclear weapons if they obtained them, but of course, Israel in its aggressive imperialistic approach to geopolitics took it upon itself (with the backing of the United States) to “pull the trigger and find out later.” That, my friends, is called bullying, not self-defense.
What is also interesting is that the Israeli Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, or Mossad (intelligence agency similar to the American CIA), had been on the schoolgrounds in Iran preparing ahead of its bullying feat, and this included: smuggling weapons in to weaken Iran’s defenses, marking facilities to ready the aircrafts for their objectives, establishing a drone base within Tehran, and assassinating officials and scientists. Of course, the Israeli Air Force is capable of the impressive operation involving “precision-guided weapons systems” to destroy small pinpointed targets anywhere in Iran, but when it comes to the Gaza Strip, Israel chooses not to employ such weaponry or use its special forces to target Hamas leaders. Instead, it flattens buildings, including schools, mosques, and hospitals, to the ground and has no desire to spare people’s lives or infrastructure. In the process of displacing millions of Palestinians who have had their homes destroyed (think about how you would feel if that were you), the Israeli military has displayed a tendency to remove the residents and destroy everything in sight until there is nothing left for the people (it is claimed that the genocide is necessary because Hamas hides in tunnels). But, with Iran, Israel utilizes different tactics because it is a little more evenly matched, and Iran actually has a military to punch back against the bullying.
Israel is considering regime change in Iran, despite the fake pleas from President Trump to not assassinate Khamenei (we all know that Israel does what it wants because it knows with confidence that the United States will forgive it and support it no matter what), and as hundreds to thousands of missiles rain down on Tehran, and Iran’s “Operation True Promise III” launches missiles at Israeli cities, such as Tel Aviv and Haifa, to penetrate the Iron Dome, we get to sit back and hope that none of this spreads outside of the Middle East. Pakistan has already alluded to possibly assisting Iran, even assuring that country that if Israel uses nuclear weapons against it, Islamabad will respond in kind against Israel. Russia and China may jump in to defend their allies in Iran, and the United States and its European satellite states may end up facing off against more than just Iran. This, in conjunction with the other World War III fronts, means that we could be inching closer to nuclear annihilation (no worries, though, because the rich and elites will be hiding in their underground bunkers while the peasants face the consequences of their sinister policies and manipulations).
As President Trump sends the USS Nimitz to the Middle East to join the USS Carl Vincent, and two dozen tanker planes get moved to Europe, we continue to live our lives pretending that nothing is happening because none of this has reached across the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans. Instead, hawkish Americans cheer this on like it is a good thing if Iran gets obliterated because it may have been pursuing a weapon that Israel has itself. These people cannot consider for a second the consequences of being excited about a large-scale Middle East war, but if the war escalates out of the region, these Israeli cheerleaders will end up regretting their support for “God’s chosen nation.” Hopefully President Trump’s warning that “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran” is just a bunch of empty words, but time will tell.
