The Civil Fraud Trial in New York City Shows the Politically-Motivated Crusade to Eliminate Donald Trump
While President Joe Biden was busy condemning Vladimir Putin and placing hundreds of new economic sanctions against Russia (without congressional approval) for allegedly (without knowing all of the details) murdering Alexei Navalny, his comrade in the Democratic Party, New York Attorney General Letitia James, was bragging about stealing $464,576,230.62 from Donald Trump in a civil fraud case that was politically motivated (and now, apparently it is up to $464,805,336.70). Just like Navalny, who was the opposition leader to the status quo in Russia, was targeted on politically-motivated embezzlement charges, Trump threatens to bring down bureaucratic and corporate institutions that the Democratic Party and its establishment allies (the deep state, if you will) hold dear, and for that, he must be humiliated into defeat or eliminated through prosecution and civil lawsuits.
As I have been arguing, what the current regime in power in the United States is doing is not unlike what Russia and other authoritarian nations, which we condemn, are also regularly doing. However, Americans are conditioned and brainwashed into believing that this is something entirely different (we are expected to believe that Trump is just a different level of bad dude that he must be ended from political existence). In fact, I have no doubt that those cheering on Trump’s potential 717.5 years in prison and half a billion dollars or more in civil damages would be about as anti-Navalny as they come if they had happened to grow up in Russia and were continuously subject to Putin’s domestic propaganda (Russia has to enforce the rule of law against corrupt actors, such as Navalny, after all, just like Trump is not above the law, right?).
So, what was the civil fraud case about in the first place? Well, if you ask Letitia James and her buddy Justice Arthur Engoron, Trump was engaged in many “pathological” fraudulent transactions and overstated his assets and caused harm to banks and potential borrowers. James repeated the claims that in New York State, there does not have to be any victims of an act for it to be considered criminal (which is a legal concept but still absolutely absurd and unjust), so the state has the right to confiscate his money. In order to justify her case, she is forced to argue that the poor corporate banks were defrauded from charging higher interest rates, which seems like something that violates the anti-corporate greed principle that the Democratic Party supposedly stands for, and that the banks would have instead loaned the money to other potential investors (that is quite the hypothetical to have to prove). She, almost as if battling the guilty conscience in her head, had to come out and say that she would “throw the book” at other New Yorkers who misstated their assets, but is that really true and something that will be on her radar?
“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary has argued that almost every real estate developer overstates his or her assets in order to come to a compromise with the bank, and he had this to say about the ruling by the New York Supreme Court (highest trial, but not appellate, court in the state), “It’s appalling. It’s unjust. I would go as far to say it’s un-American.” Deutsche Bank testified in front of the court and said that making a “haircut” when addressing net worth was a regular thing that banks do in response to their clients’ statements, and it argued that there was no fraud committed. On top of the fact that Deutsche Bank (or any other lender) has not issued a lawsuit against Trump for what it deemed as harmful, the bank considered Trump to be reliable and was never worried about whether he would pay the loans back or if it could have gotten higher interest rates. It was a mutually-beneficial relationship, but James does not care about those facts or the principles of free transactions between voluntary parties, as she is only interested in sinking the former president.
Because of the concepts of what O’Leary and Deutsche Bank spoke about, investors in New York City are understandably nervous that they will be targeted for doing what is common practice, and some have threatened to leave the state and pursue business opportunities elsewhere, which would lead to a mass exodus of the city and a disaster to the already poorly-run state economy. Governor Kathy Hochul had to make a statement saying that there was nothing to worry about and that the state was only going after Trump, and other businesses would not have to fear being politically targeted and can stay in New York with impunity. In the unusual statement, the governor essentially admitted that this was a sham trial meant to focus exclusively on Trump and had nothing to do with simply following the rule of law, and again, almost every investor does what Trump did. However, the governor’s statement directly contradicted James’ “throw the book” at anyone statement, because clearly, James will not be targeting anyone else for this “crime” except for Trump. Even though the banks who loaned him money would disagree with Hochul’s and James’ analysis, Trump was arbitrarily deemed by the state as just so extraordinarily bad that he had to be pursued.
In addition to Justice Engoron, who was elected to his position in the Trump-hating and Democratic-majority Manhattan, issuing a flawed ruling to align with his party’s witch hunt against the former president, Letitia James’ creation of a double standard of justice seems to be a personal vendetta against her political opponent. In fact, the attorney general ran her campaign on the promise that she would target Trump and investigate all of his activities to find something to go after him for. At the time, she did not necessarily know which law she would utilize, but she made speeches and statements to motivate voters to come out to the polls so that she could get elected and “stand up” to the evil one. She has been caught saying that she wanted to prevent “Trumpism” from spreading in New York City and that Trump called her mean names, and she even went on a tirade that called Trump an illegitimate president who stole the Supreme Court (quite the conspiracy theory on her part). Her political activism against Trump was part of what got her in office, and she should be impeached for using her position to go after someone whom she personally despises, but that will never happen as long as ultra-liberal New York City is in control of the state’s politics (the city controls the legislature and governorship, and Upstate New York, which never votes for these tyrannical statewide officials, has no say whatsoever in who gets elected, as we just go along for the ride and are forced to accept whomever is selected into power for us).
Not only is James attempting to steal almost half a billion dollars from the president, she is threatening to seize his assets in New York City to prevent him from bailing on his commitment, which was produced from a corrupt trial. She appears to be a very bitter and evil woman who is determined to do everything in her power to destroy Trump (watch the facial expressions in her passionate speeches), and she is not satisfied with simply forcing him to pay money. Instead, she wants to take his skyscraper at 40 Wall Street (yes, she actually said that).
As a result of the ruling, there were plans for truckers to boycott New York City and shut it down due to the actions of corrupt state officials, but unfortunately, it never really materialized. I mean, Hochul probably would have followed in the footsteps of Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and seized the bank accounts of any truckers who attempted to do so anyway, so maybe protesting her majesty would have had political consequences. Certain speech and protests can now be construed as hate crimes and surveilled in Hochul’s New York, after all. New York has become a corrupt land that lacks freedom, but the rest of the nation will soon follow the precedents set here. The several indictments and civil cases against Trump represent a threat to our liberties and to the choice of we the people to determine who leads us. Will we allow the Democratic Party and its bureaucratic establishment friends to get away with what authoritarian leaders do in far off lands, or will we stand up and take back our country?
